There is something poetic about a town whose main landmark is a river, more so if the river named is as equally poetic sounding as Perfume River of Hue, Vietnam.
The river water source winding down from the mountains passing by several forests, bringing in the fragrance of tropical flora and fauna as explain as how the river derived its name.
On a rare sunny day, Perfume River is a perfect shade of blue while on a typical drizzly Hue weather which was exactly what I experienced, it was a muddy shade of green, though not lacking any sort of charm.
There are a lot of ways to enjoy the Perfume River; it can be a stroll along the promenade, participating in a boat cruise or simply walking at one of the intersecting bridges while admiring the passing boats and very few fishermen braving the bad weather.
